It has been a nice few weeks getting back into our routine again. Iris is doing great and has finally started making some consonant sounds. She actually has said 'Daddy' several times -- although she doesn't know what it means, I'm taking that as her first word. This morning, she figured out how to make noises by flapping her lips with her finger.
As you can see, her eight teeth are in pretty far now:
Iris is very close to crawling, but not quite, so she is still getting around by rolling. She especially likes to roll into Jasmine (who either freezes or tries to get some licks in).
She has been eating a whole bunch of new foods: sweet potatoes, acorn squash, oatmeal, rice cereal, carrots, avocado, bananas, and papaya and likes most of them (not avocado!).

I think we're all ready for a belated February update on the photos. Miss a month at this stage and you've missed a lot.
