Well, it is hard to believe but Iris will be 18 months tomorrow. She had her checkup last week and it seems she definitely remembers the nurse that gives her shots. She wanted nothing to do with her and cried all through the measuring part of her appointment. She likes her doctor though and was much calmer by the time the nurse came back to give her a shot at the end of the appointment. Hardly any fuss for that, go figure. Here are her stats:Weight: 27 lb. 2 oz. 82%
Height: 33" 83%
Head circumference: ~ 19" (squirmy baby fudge factor)
She is advanced in verbal skills due to quantity of words and using multiple words together (no wonder, considering her dad read at age 2) and of course we don't even need to mention the block stacking capabilities!
While at the mall with my mom we made an attempt to see Santa but Iris only wanted to look at him from afar as the lights were more intriguing. We didn't force the issue and went about our shopping. The rest of the day she kept talking about Santa. Hmmm??? Iris is quite interested in older girls ~ age 4-5 is perfect. She makes fast friends wherever we go and offers lots of "hi's", hand holding and hugs to willing participants. Jasmine will do in a pinch:

Iris got to open an early shape and color sorting Christmas present from Auntie Kris. Fun!:

Jeffy also had his birthday last week. It was pretty low key as I had just gotten back from Chandler and he had been up late doing lots of patching and painting all week. We did find time to celebrate with dinner and a birthday cake (Iris calls it happy cake). She was more fond of the ice cream than the cake though (smart girl).
