Late Labor Day Weekend Pics

After a having visitors, going to Milwaukee and Jeff traveling for work, we decided to stay home over labor day weekend. We are usually up North over the holiday but there was much going on from the world-caliber Detroit JazzFestival, President Obama speaking and oodles of fairs. We opt for the latter as they provide some fun for all: a little music, a little art and a big dinosaur:

What's a fair without without some food? How about a carmel apple with sprinkles! Iris turns over her tickets for her treat. It was her favorite thing at the fair. Even above the no time limit jumping castle.
The view from inside the merry-go-round:

Fair #2 and Iris' first pony ride. She was excited at the beginning and looked like this at the end. Bitsy doesn't look so excited about it either!
Oh and yeah, we might have seen the Obamas
Enjoying some kettlecorn and why you shouldn't wear your hood even if you ARE cold.

Seeing people in sweaters during the month of September will always be so strange to me. Have fun in the cold!!
