It was not so long ago that Iris used to declare "I don't like boys!" But from the first day of preschool she and Max hit it off. Actually even before that at the school orientation when they played in the pretend kitchen together. He was the best pretend eater in the bunch.
Since then we hear about Max all the time: how he wiggles all silly, talks in funny voices and even pushes her down sometimes (he likes to wrestle). Iris tells us all the time that she loves him and said she loves him even when he pushes her.
I was at their little class party before Thanksgiving (11/22) and their teacher was saying how inseparable they are. As we were getting ready to leave Max was waiting because he wanted to walk out with Iris. When we were ready to go they shared what was at least a ten second long hug with their cheeks on each others shoulders, I'm not kidding it was really, really long. And then blammo, a seemingly mutual smackaroo right on the lips! It was surprising yet really sweet.
