Miles is Two!

What's to say, our sweet boy is two somehow.  He's a happy, sturdy (as in still 98-99% for height, weight and head size), playful, inquisitive, and did I mention sweet cuddle bug.   He's pretty much a mini Jeff except for maybe the sturdy part and oh yeah, looking like me.  We see glimpses of 2 year old rebellion but there is usually a smile not far behind so its hard to take seriously.

Since his birthday was on a Wednesday and Jeff had a late work presentation he couldn't get out of we squeezed in mini celebrations throughout the day.  As it turned out, Jeff's meeting was canceled and he got out early so off we scooted out to dinner and to play at the park on a lovely summer evening.

Birthday morning ambush by Iris.  She couldn't wait to give him his present and card.  She still wears her Halloween cat costume most days and they play cat and little kitten.  So we tried to find cat ears and tail but only found a monkey one.  She was disappointed but I told her that some cats don't have pointy ears and convinced her that it didn't really look like a monkey and she was back on board.  Later, I made the huge mistake of saying that the ears looked kind of like mice ears and that they could play cat and mouse and got the big grumpy face.  I may have to tweak the ears a little.

For the first time Miles got to help make the cake.  It helps to get right in there!
