Happy Halloween everyone! October has been great here with the weather cooling some allowing open doors and windows most of the day with no whirring cooler running. Iris is 4-1/2 months now and just under 18 pounds. Her new favorite activities are standing in her exercise saucer that was donated to us by our friends Keith and Farah (their daughter Parisa used it 8 years ago when she was just a babe) and bouncing in her hanging bouncy-chair. We didn't have a suitable doorway to hang it on inside so it is on the back porch. This actually works out quite well since the weather is conducive to outdoor activity - it give me a chance to do some gardening and Iris is happy in it plieing about for an hour! Iris also has her own little pink potty which she uses ~ half a dozen times a day. As you can see from the photo she likes it and usually goes when you change her diaper which saves it from getting the new one immediately wet.

Iris was a peapod for halloween (okay, not the most original - but still cute!). I wanted to make a costume for her - we thought about either Maggie Simpson (couldn't find a red pacifier though) or Princess Leia (can you imagine those buns on the side of her head!) but just ran out of time. We took her to a halloween party at our friend's shop Popcycle where she partied with Gavin the dragon and Pippi Longstocking (aka Jen). A fun time was head by all.
