Week of Firsts

First group class on her own (other than preschool and library story time).  She started gymnastics and LOVED it.  She didn't even get frustrated when she didn't know how to do something she just asked for help.  Her class overlaps with Miles parent/tot gymnastics class is at the same time so I would periodically get some big grins when she would look over.at us.  It was so cute to watch her paying attention and wholeheartedly trying things she had never done.

A couple days after her first gymnastics class she started her first swim lessons since she just turned three.  That was a no go but this time she was very excited and we signed up to do it at the same YMCA where Jeff learned how to swim as a kid and with her besty Max.  Here she is all ready to go!  Oh and there's our new Subaru Outback in the background that we got a few months back.

Anticipation

With a little foam floater piece strapped to her back she gleefully jumped in, swam unassisted and yes floated on her back as in this photo (she isn't in the foreground but way toward the back).  It was quite a change form our last go round and makes us definitely feel like waiting until she was ready was the right thing to do. She was literally giddy the whole time and afterwards.

So tired out, she even took a nap that afternoon!
