Weeks 6 & 7 - Chick Flick, Solar Hot Water & Happy Saturday

This has been a pretty busy week. Iris had her first sushi and chick flick outing and was a total rock star! She saw Mamma Mia with Lisa and her Auntie Elizabeth and I think it is safe to say that she is a confirmed ABBA fan (sorry dad :(). She didn't sleep at all during the movie but was quite happy to eat, watch the movie and listen to L and B singing along with no fussing, amazing!

We are also totally excited to have gotten our solar hot water installed at our house this week which was supervised closely by Jasmine. It took some finagling to fit in our closet but it just squeeked in. With all the loads of diapers and laundry it is sure to be a huge help. We haven't even had to have the electric back up on and we have plenty of hot water even with some overcast monsoony afternoons. Yeah!!

We also had multiple outings most days. Iris is usually pretty easy- falling asleep in her Ergo carrier whenever we go somewhere. Iris' smiles are a lot more abundant now and her favorite thing to do is coo at herself in the mirror (see pic below). While her schedule is always unknown, her pattern is the same wake up, eat, smiley time, cry, sleep, cry, eat, smiley time and repeat... until ~ midnight when she finally goes to bed for real (she is a night owl like her dad). Now we are getting ready for our big trip to Michigan to introduce Iris to the rest of the Hoffmans and see D'nardo, Julie & Henry at the cottage. Can't wait!
