Happy Spring Equinox

So, for most of the winter when its been cold Iris has been pretending we have a park in our dining room. It is quite elaborate with swings, slide, hot air balloon ride, carousel, and so on. We all go there daily and act out the various rides. We've had to draw the line at her actually getting naked to go in the pretend swimming pool. At what age do we lose that super fun imagination?
We've had glimpses of Spring this week, like the tulips peeking out from the muddy soil. Even though the first day of spring is a little chilly you can feel that the change is in the air. So we ventured out to the real park to welcome Spring in.
Here's Miles swinging. Oh the gravity of those cheeks! Earlier this week it really did feel like Spring for the first time with highs in the 60's and sunny days. So we did what any cooped up gardener with visions of a veggie garden would do. Plant seeds!
The taste of Spring-fresh asparagus:

Iris got a tutu from Grandma L which she quickly paired with her butterfly wings.

We even had had a few lovely strolls without winter jackets. Iris asked me to take a picture of her and then gave me this look. Note the tutu over the pants. It has been a wardrobe staple.
